Flagler Room Forum

Flagler College students listened to a forum about film and film making.

Brian Ernst- One Man Band

Brian Ernst, originally from Ohio, preformed on October 26th behind Flagler College's Ringhaver Student Center.

Brian Ernst's One Man Band preformed on Flagler College's campus as a part of his "Journey for Youth Tour."

Brian Ernst's One Man Band attracted a sizable audience to enjoy his music.

Ernst played a variety of instruments to create his unique sound for the students and staff at Flagler College.

Brian Ernst, not wanting to ask students to pay for music they enjoyed, offered his CDs for free.

Self Portrait

This was one of the most awkward experiences for far in this class, taking photos of myself. At least it was easy to get the photos...

This is me, Alaina Cordes, 20, of St. Augustine, Florida.
The photos are colorful and happy because that is most representative of me!

Photos' contrast and saturation in the following are increased:

Motion

Varying degrees of motion capture...
All photos are of Katy Chubim, 19, playing ping pong in the Ringhaver Student Center at Flagler College.
Quite blurred.
A bit more still.

Paddle is still and the ball is almost there.

Mid hit, the paddle is captured as still.

Feature Photos

The St. Augustine Art Association held a Tactile Show on October 4th, 2009. It housed artwork that was able to be enjoyed by blind students. Each piece of work was designed to be touched when art is usually meant to look at. This way, the art is not selective on who it reaches out to.

With the elegance of a grand piano in their midst, people crowded around tactile art and delicious finger foods.

Jean Light Willis created this towering papier mache model of her family tree.

The Art Association's beautiful courtyard incorporates seamlessly with the elegance inside.

Leaving the Tactile Show in the early evening, onlookers discuss the success of the exhibit.
